About Me

Hi and welcome to the Worldnomad site. Let me please introduce myself, my name is Daniel I hail from Buenos Aires, Argentina and as a brief “about me” page let me tell you why I can call myself a world nomad.

After graduating college in International Trade and Business in 2003 my life in Argentina came to a closure, a stage in my life that needed a change. That's why I decided to quit my job and leave everything behind to explore the world.

But of course I had no idea of how to do that, nor the money or friends that would help me. In December 2005 I got a ticket to NYC and took it from there. After studying English there for an year while getting a life in the city of cities, enjoying the cultural activities, foods, and night life, it was time continue the trip. I took of to Europe where I unsuccessfully tried to live and work in Barcelona. But my hopes never faded and I continued my trip to Israel.

The Holy land actually received me really good and I finished up living in a Kibbutz in the north, working in the kitchen and learning a new language and new tricks. By the end of 2006 though I was almost broke. By that time I was working in the outskirts of Jerusalem building a wellness center made of mud in a chicken coup, but my continuous travel emptied my wallet. That year I had visited almost 15 countries in Europe, Asia and Africa.

By January 2007 I was back in NYC for more. I stayed there for 6 months to prepare for the next leg of my trip, further into Asia. When my time there was due, I went back to Israel to continue work, this time as a gardener. I stayed there for around 3 months, waiting for the monsoon to finish in India. By September I took a flight to Mumbai and started from there an incredible trip around India.

For 3 months I travelled to the from Goa to the Himalayas, where i studied Buddhism and was lucky enough to meet awesome people. The Indian adventure was great but all has an end, luckily for me I had an opportunity in the land of the rising sun. I tried to go overland but the I needed to be there for December so I had to go. But not before I took a short vacation in a beautiful island in Thailand.

Japan proved to be an amazing place, an incredible culture, food, women, technology… I just loved it, I spent there 6 months. Because the Visa is only for 3 months I made a brief to China, with the intention of getting all the way into Tibet but the 2008 unrest caused all foreigners to be banned from the TAR, so I came back to Japan to continue studying Japanese. By May my Visa was due again so I had to take off, I decided to visit my friends again in NYC.  I got a place in Harlem and spent a great summer in the city, and out of it as well, getting ready to visit my country for the first time in 4 years.

I came back to Argentina but my feet got itchy very very soon, so I decided to get my self to Machu Pichu, overland. I came back to my country just on time for the new year, and the 2009 got my in the Patagonia, in a friends house.

After so much travel I rested in Buenos Aires for 3 months, when I decided that is was time for another adventure. I used my ticket back all the way to Japan where i started an Import Export business. I didn't forgot my roots though and decided to make a short adventure, this time with my sister, so we went  again to Thailand, an crossed to Laos and Cambodia, before returning back to Japan, from where I'm writing this letters.

It is now 5 years since I started traveling this trip got me along around 30 countries in 4 continents and more than 160 cities. I had many jobs between them waiter, street performer, lumberjack, cook, gardener, businessman, real state agent… and more. I learned Hebrew, some Arabic, Japanese and perfectioned my English.

I entered 100 year old Churches, Synagogues, Hindu, Buddhist, Shintoints, and Taoists temples an learned a lot about each culture. Visited also most world landmarks including the Taj Mahal, Angkor Wat, the great wall, the Pyramids of Egypt, Machu Pichu, The Pisa Tower and more…

From Here only god knows where it will continue, but in any case I’m sure its going to be fine, like it was until now. Currently I’m exporting leather goods from Argentina, selling pictures, writing a book and looking for more opportunities and places to travel.
