  Travel Tips

Language barrier: English is not spoken in the streets at all. Carry around all important data (hotel Info and address, near bus stops or other info, indications for cab drivers, etc) in Chinese phonetics and characters (ask the hotel clerk). Also if you plan to travel alone to the wall or small side trips be sure to have information to go and come back in Chinese.

Train tips: Train is a great way to travel, safe and clean. All cars have hot water for you cook your instant noodles (Typical train food)
