  Country Highlights

Swiss may have everything you need to have a memorable time. If you are into winter sports even better. I was not, but still managed to have a great time. Cities are extravagantly beautiful and although expensive can be alright for a tight pocket, since most attractions are walking around and seeing places, actually you will be walking in one of the richest countries in the world.
Besides the capitals, the alps and the winter sports you can also enjoy a lot the train rides, sitting in the most efficient and clean trains you'll ever be.

  Travel Tips

Many places in Bern seem to be underground, pub and restaurants specially.
Like in other expensive countries a good advise here is to take advantage of the supermarkets. Most of them have a wide arrange of foods and some even sell already made foods at a much convenient price than a restaurant.
With a really small country like this is always worth it to check trains schedules and hop on an off little towns, its a nice relaxing way to travel and see new places.

  Food

Fondue is one of many traditional Swiss dishes. Basically is a cheese dip for old bread, but you can deep in anything you like, for example chicken, sausages, veggies.

To prepare it you'll need gruyere, emmental or other hard cheese and wine. Some places add corn starch.

Heat a pan very softly and add little bit of butter to prevent the cheese from sticking and add softly the cheese cutted in little pieces and dry white wine. Combine ingredients slowly and keep stirring all the time. When mix is ready take to the table and continue heat with alcohol burner, candles or something to prevent the mix getting cold and hard.
