It's history, although relatively short, has seen great politicians, public figures and music Idols. It has provide to the world with movies, products, ideas, music and in every aspect of our modern life there is something from the US.

On the travel aspect it also doesn't fall short. With 50 states, the DC, and insular territories it offers to the visitor a wide range of possibilities: The Grand Canyon, New York City, Hawaii beaches' , the Niagara falls and much, much more.

America's cities are hubs by themselves and the country is completely decentralized, normally the capital of the states are not the biggest cities (as it happens in NY state and its capital, Albany while the biggest city is NYC)

Washington DC: The District of Columbia is the Home of the Federal Government, The Congress, White House, FBI, Pentagon, and many other institutions are located in the wide, monument filled streets of this city.

Chicago: Home of the Stock exchange for grains Chicago holds also many bars and music culture.

Los Angeles: The West coastal city of LA offers Hollywood culture and gorgeous beaches.

What to Do

There are plenty of things to do in the United States, depending on your taste you can visit gorgeous beaches, skyscrapers filled cities, Natural wonders as waterfalls and deserts, Casinos... you name it!

Washington DC: Walk around in The Mall and visit the Lincoln, Washington and Jefferson Memorials. Enter to the Air Space Museum, the Smithsonian Castle and the National Archives. Take a couple of days, most museums are free and extremely interesting.
Also the White House, the US capitol building, and other public building are of interest but to see from the outside only. For security reasons its not permitted to enter to those.
Dc's Chinatown is one of the most impressive and food there is very good, but

Los Angeles: Well, besides the Hollywood sign and the Chinese theater there are no more impressive landmarks. You can visit the Movie Studios, roam around Beverly Hills and sunbath in Venice Beach
Dinning and drinking are up to the order in LA and you can see Hollywood stars in nightclubs and restaurants and bars.

Las Vegas: In the city of sin the motto is What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. That's why people go wild, nights lasts 24 hours and you may do a variety of things besides gambling. First category Shows, Concerts, Fine dining, sightseeing, shopping, drinking and partying. A lot of things are cheap in comparison with other US cities, since Casinos are sure that any way or another you are going to spend all your money.

Travel Tips

America is wide, therefore if you are planning to visit more than one city you can consider an Amtrak Rail Pass. Also discount travel websites offer cheap plane tickets if you book ahead on popular trips and are of very good value for some Hotel/Air combinations. With a travel website I Booked twice for very good deals to go from NYC to Miami, and from LA to Las Vegas. On both occasions Airfare and Hotel were dirty cheap. Plan and book ahead.

For NYC: Travel smart and get a Unlimited Metrocard. You can use it in all public transportation.
There are many places that offer food with the drink, scout in the internet and check around.
There are many free Newspapers, The Village Voice has very good listings for Nightlife and shows. Also for restaurants.

Traditional American Food is Actually more than burgers and fried stuff, I got these recipe of traditional Thanksgiving Turkey that i will put for you now:

Ingredients
Turkey, unfrozen
Butter
Onions
Celery
Bell Peppers
Carrots
Butter
Spices: Thyme, Rosemary, Bay leave and parsley. Salt and pepper

All right so next we will take all the insides of the turkey and fill in the cavity with our stuffing. chop all ingredients and put cook lightly in a butter filled pan. Half way cook and let cold. Once cold Stuff the bird. Tie the legs and the turkey so its compressed and paint it with the leftover from the pan. The butter and veggies flavor would be a great add on. Add salt and pepper on top.
Place the Turkey breast down in a grill over a oven plaque. Cook in hot oven for 25 minutes and then turn it around. Cook for extra 20 minutes. To check Its ready just Pinch with knife, little juice should com out clear, not with blood.
For the gravy scrap the bottom of the oven plaque and put it in the same pan with butter and little bit chicken stock. Simmer for 30 minutes and add a mix of water and cornstarch until thick.
