Hua Shan
This mighty Taoist sacred mountain located near Xi an in the Shaanxi province in the middle of China. Reserved only for courageous hermits who secluded themselves in the inaccessibility of the mountains is now widely Dangerous stairsavailable to general public thanks to the creation by the Chinese government of several trails. Still is a challenge for any normal person that dares to climb it. Although a path leads to most of the sights and all 5 peaks its just amazingly dangerous and steep, making a big deal to try to climb the mountain for just pleasure. Deaths still occur and its even more dangerous when it rains. many of its more dangerous parts are now closed to the public and might be seen only my photos

The mountain can be visited in the day and you might also want to consider sleeping over in the top if you wish to see all peaks.
My journey started actually in my hotel, where i had to ask the clerk to translate to Chinese the indications of how to get there, where to get down and so on. I though it was going to be harder but thanks to the help of some local students that were also visiting the mountain was actually very easy and funny.
Entrance temple to Hua Shan

What was not funny was about to come, when i started going deeper and deeper into the mountain well marked trail and I saw that the winding path climbing literally in a vertical way. My knees where soared of only watching that way up.
After 3 hours climbing and not getting anywhere near the peak I decided to make a stop in a Nice Taoist temple midway for a Bum snack that I got before

After the snack i felt little bit better and continued my way up the hard way. After successfully arriving at the First peak and temple I saw what i wanted to do next. Although my body didn't wanted me to... I proceeded to the stairs leading to the second peak, a path carved on the mountains edged with a scary precipice in both sides. The views were amazing and while sitting on the top of the stairs i met with the students that i had met before.
We chatted for a long time a
nd decided it was time to head back, they were also returning toLocks in the Heights Xi'an the same day and for me it was good to have the certainty that i could arrive. We went down the mountain as slowly as we climbed it because it was so steep that it was dangerous even to go down.
Finally we arrived to the base and got ready for our bus, but it took an hour to leave, in the meantime we ate some excellent fresh and homemade dumpling soup, and when we arrived to Xi'an they invited me for a typical Chinese dinner at a local restaurant
